Medical Aid Information

Therapy and assessment sessions may be partially or fully covered by your medical aid, depending on your plan and available benefits. Sean Neveling is registered with the HPCSA (PS 0147583) and has a PCNS practice number (9990860030946699). You are advised to confirm your available psychology benefits with your medical aid provider before your first session. A detailed invoice will be provided after each session for submission to your medical aid.

What to Expect When You Get in Touch

When you contact the practice, you will be guided through a brief intake process to ensure that the right service is matched to your needs. If you are booking for a child or adolescent, it is helpful to have information about the school and any previous assessments or reports available.

For couples counselling or family therapy, an initial conversation will help to determine the most appropriate way to begin.

There is no pressure. If you are not sure whether therapy or an assessment is the right step, a phone call can help you decide.

Booking and Session Information

Appointments are available during regular office hours. The practice operates by appointment only, and sessions are scheduled to allow adequate time for each client without rushing. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so that the time can be offered to someone else.

For psychoeducational assessments, the process typically requires two to three appointments in total: the initial parent consultation, the assessment session or sessions, and the feedback meeting. Therapy sessions for individuals, adolescents, couples and families are usually scheduled on a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on what is most appropriate.
